Ornamin Mugs with Internal Cone
These mugs were invented for people who have problems tipping their head back while drinking. In contrast to cups with nose cut-outs, these mugs with an internal cone are intuitive, so they don't need any user explanation. Further more they look no different from conventional mugs, thus ensuring that there is no embarrassment about using an adaptive product. Their thermal function keeps drinks warm or cold as required. Available with one or two ergonomic XXL handles and 3 different colours - Red, Blue & Blackberry.
Lids are also available with either a spout or holes to sip from.
Adapted Cutlery
Being able to feed yourself can be an important part of feeling independent, so we stock several different designs to suit your needs. There are styles that we don't stock but are more than happy to order in on request.
What style of adapted cutlery do I need?
Adapted cutlery comes in different forms to help with different disabilities and medical conditions:
-
Weighted cutlery - For people who suffer with hand tremors (typically people suffering from Parkinson's). The weighted cutlery helps to dampen down the effects of the tremors.
-
Chunky Handles - Anyone suffering from poor dexterity or grip strength will find the thicker grip a lot easier to use than conventional cutlery.
-
Angled Cutlery - Angled cutlery such as our Henro Grip range are designed for anyone with weak motor skills. Taking away the need to angle your wrist to feed yourself.
Jar and Bottle Openers
Gripping the lid of a jar or bottle to open them can often become a struggle for anyone with weakened grip or poor dexterity. Our range of jar and bottle openers give a helping hand to allow people to be more independent in the kitchen. We also have an aid to help undo safety lids found on such things as pill bottles and cleaning liquids.
Dining Bibs
Why should dinner bibs be boring and blatant? We think our customers should be able to eat without feeling different to others around them. Our bibs from Bibble Plus offer stylish designs to suit all with various patterns available, we stock a good selection of the range but if we don't have a style to suit you we can find one that will and get it in stock.
The bandana bibs can be used as a discreet dribble bib or dining bib for those who don't need full torso coverage.
Keep Warm Plates
Slow eaters don't have to eat cold food! The Ornamin Keep Warm Plates can be filled with hot water and sealed so the plate stays warm keeping food warmer for longer. They also incorporate rubber grip handles for safer grip and to conceal the fill holes. A rubber base help keep the plate from slipping.
Available in Blue, Red & Blackberry
